FRIENDS OF THE BUFFALO STORY
Buffalo People: Past, Present & Future
Heritage Walls on Ferry Street
In attics and in the abandoned back rooms of long-lost photography studios are hidden the silent records of times long lost. Some of these are from the studio maintained by William Westhall at 260 Broadway during the early 20th century. Some are from the archives of the Buffalo History Museum. Others are from the old cigar boxes of people clinging on to their youth in Buffalo. All of the images are of real people; all of them reveal real stories…Look at them and let your mind wonder….
The photographic murals will be installed onto Buildings along the East Ferry corridor near the Intersection of Main & Ferry Streets. Each of the images will tell a story, but it is up to the passerby to dream up what that story might be.
